Applications for the Second Open Call are Open!
We are making our first open call of 2023 for the Art Production Grants. Within the scope of the Art Production Grants, which is open to artists in the field of visual arts, the beneficiaries will be accompanied by mentors who will support their work while realising their project ideas. The programme focuses on artists from wide geography beyond Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. Applications for the Art Production Grants began on Wednesday, 1 February 2023, and will close on Wednesday, 15 March 2023, at 18.00.
The Art Production Grants, which is open to artists between the ages of 25 and 45, provide support to the beneficiaries for the works they will develop under the consultancy of established figures from the field of culture, arts and academia. Thus, it aims to provide artists with the opportunity to create new works with the sharing of experiences and creates space for networking and access to the art world. The Art Production Grants are only eligible for applications from artists residing in Turkey. As a result of this open call, 10 of the 15 artistic productions to be supported will be selected from among the applications made from cities other than Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.
The Art Production Grants, which is open to the applications of artists and artists who will produce projects together between the ages of 25 and 45 working in the field of visual arts, provides support up to a maximum of 3,000 euros for each project. The Art Production Grants will support 45 art projects through three open calls between 2022 and 2024. In each open call period, the program will support the projects of 15 artists or artist groups residing in Turkey and is open to joint applications. Applicants must document at least two years of activity in the field of visual arts. Applications can be made for a project in the mediums of painting, drawing, print, sculpture, ceramics, photography, sound, video and installation, or for an interdisciplinary work involving several of these mediums.
Applications for the Art Production Grants began on Wednesday, 1 February 2023, and will close on Wednesday, 15 March 2023, at 18.00. Candidates can apply through the application portal, and access information about the conditions at application guideline and FAQs.
CultureCIVIC
CultureCIVIC, a European Union project realised with the partnership of Goethe-Institut Istanbul, Anadolu Kültür, Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), Institut français de Turquie, and Danish Cultural Institute in Turkey, and in collaboration with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Turkey, aims to foster civil society activities in the field of arts and culture. Prioritising the reach beyond the major urban centres to strengthen Turkey’s cultural infrastructure with a grassroots approach, the programme is open to all cultural civil society organisations, initiatives, artists, individuals, institutions and enterprises with a non-profit mindset.
Supporting rights-based activities while evaluating the applicant projects priority is given to projects focusing on gender equality, LGBTI+ rights, social cohesion, human rights, freedom of expression, and children's rights bringing together actors from different ethnic, religious, and linguistic backgrounds.
