This training program focuses on the transformative role of local culture in resilient and sustainable development, attaches importance to developing the diversity, knowledge and skill capacity of future designers, and establishes a studio covering culture, creativity and green works.
While the training program is shaped around the focused issues of green skills and ergonomic design, it also covers creativity and conceptualization within the scope of the course. The target audience of the program is young people between the ages of 18-25 and education, training and practical lessons will be held with the participants.
The aim of the program is to build capacity by coordinating environmental policies in the context of skills-education systems and culture of the place.
The training program encourages meaningful participation in the decision-making processes, where young people play a key role, in transforming their creativity into action and providing social dialogue. Thus, starting from the local level, a training program focused on ergonomic design, environmental awareness and green skills is prepared in order to contribute to the knowledge of the participants, reinforce them enabling them to take action. Training also includes studies that will be carried out to convey these issues from peer to peer and reach more people.
While the goal is to create an environment of discussion and questioning, on the other hand, interactive participation is considered important. The process is planned so that the participants will expand their theoretical knowledge during the lessons, internalize the knowledge they have learned through the workshops, assimilate it and produce. The program consists of three stages. The training stage is where learning takes place and new knowledge are given importance. The production stage is where the acquired knowledge is transformed into production and ideas, and the participating young people speak about Ankara and find solutions to their own problems by using the diversity of the local. The sharing phase is designed to display the final products in the training program and to display them in order to create a social impact.
