Impactors

Impactors is an ecosystem that supports creators of content with the sensitivity to influence. Theoretical and practical trainings comprise of 3 modules, namely prize open calls, creation process backed by mentoring and feedback sessions, and online archive.

Training Module:

DAY 1: Wednesday, January 24, 2024
•    SEMİNAR: 3 Headlines from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
•    SYMPOSIUM: LOCAL PERSPECTIVE: Influence Potential in the Aegean Region within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

DAY 2: Thursday, January 25, 2024
•    SEMİNAR: The Art of Influencing: From Jacques Rancière to “Crossmedia Condition” & from Activism to Interaction, a Glance at Examples of Artistic Storytelling within the scope of Influencing from the 1960s to the Present Day
•    WORKSHOP: Grassroots Media Production Skills

DAY 3: Friday, January 26, 2024
•    IDEATHON: A workshop on ideas, which participants of the physical phase of the program can apply single or in pairs during the open call process.
•    FEEDBACK PANEL: Provision of feedback on the workshop outcomes by panelists.

Open Call and Production Module:

Financial support, mentor matching, feedback and revision process for 6 productions to be selected through a prize open call that online and physical program participants can apply for.

Archive Module:

Public online access
Video stream platform where training records and videos of Influencer content creators can be viewed.

Pırıl Gündüz

Pırıl Gündüz is the founder of Phoyer and Hollows, a curator and artist. She received her Master of Arts degree in Media Studies from The New School in New York. She is a graduate of School of Economics in Boğaziçi University, where she also completed a Film Studies minor degree. She taught ”Curating Contemporary Art” at Boğaziçi University. She received the Sculpture Award and short film awards from The New School. In New York, she worked with Christiane Paul, Whitney Museum of American Art Digital Art curator. She worked at the performance art curatorial department at MoMA PS1 museum. In 2014, she founded a visiting artist center with a gallery and a performance studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Hollows later moved to a 5-storey building in Williamsburg. She curated 15 group exhibitions as well as numerous cultural programs and hosted over 1000 artists from more than 20 countries. She had numerous collaborations with private and public organizations and participated in art fairs in New York and Miami. She is currently working for Phoyer, her new enterprise, producing under the alias ValentineXX_xyztd.
