Rojbash Film:
Post-Production
December 2022 - July 2023
DİYARBAKIR, İSTANBUL
Rojbash Film is the story of a group of Kurdish theater actors coming together to re-stage a play they performed 25 years ago.
Although time has passed, the gathering of actors who think that the identity problems of the Kurds are going back to those years, is also a reaction against this situation. However, for this very reason, they see that there are many obstacles to their re-enactment of the play.
Aside from the internal problems that have stayed hidden between them for years, the problems they have in establishing the relationship of the play with the present, the increasingly tragic lack of stages to perform and the fact that the existing ones are sealed, are some of the various obstacles that prevent them from staging the play.
Rojbash Film focuses on the persistence of the actors to continue the rehearsals despite these many obstacles. The actors adopt staging this play as a form of resistance. In Rojbash Film, the actors portray themselves, which gives the film a semi-documentary feel.
Within the scope of this project, the original music and post-production (sound and color design) of the Rojbash Film, which was shot in the summer of 2022, will be completed and the film film will be ready for screening.
