Journey to the World of Animation

Animated productions are an important tool for children’s development, allowing them to get to know themselves as well as to think and question the world around them. Journey to the World of Animation project aimed to organise animation-focused workshops to develop children’s ideation, probing, project design, communication and creative skills.
The topics of the workshop included the following:
- Character Creation and Drawing
- Script Writing
- Shooting (Video and Photography)
- 2D Animation
- 3D Animation
Workshops were open to children of ages of 7-15 and conducted by experts in their field. Each workshop accommodated 15 children.
At the end of the workshop series, an event was organized where children’s creations were shared. Experts in animation, creative arts for children and from civil society organisations as well as educational institutions and parents participated in this event.
Venue and equipment support for the project were provided by Diyarbakır Industrial School, Anima Production, ZarokMa, Anka Language and Arts Education Cooperative that have been working for and with children for many years.
